Pada pertengahan 2020, Toyota meluncurkan Fortuner facelift di Thailand, dengan dua varian utama, yaitu Standard dan Legender. Model ini kemudian masuk ke Indonesia pada akhir 2020, namun tanpa varian Legender. Varian tertingginya tetap dipegang oleh TRD Sportivo.
Beberapa pembaruan pada Toyota Fortuner facelift mencakup grille dan garnish lampu LED lebih besar, menciptakan kesan gagah dan modern. Velg dengan desain baru semakin memperkuat tampilan tangguh khas SUV. Panel instrumen 4,2 inci dengan animasi pembuka baru juga hadir di model ini.
